Wat maak Enermol uniek en anders as ander energiebronne-? Enermol is ‘n hoë gehalte energieproduk van Feedmaster en is saamgestel uit -± 70% koringsemels, ± 25% molassestroop en ʼn klein persentasie voerkalk. Koringsemels in die produk verskaf die nodige koolhidrate aan die herkouer, maar dit is heelwat veiliger as grane wat hoog is in stysel (bv. mieliemeel). Diere wat vanaf ‘n oorwegende ruvoer dieet soos veldweiding oorgaan na ‘n volvoer, moet geleidelik op die nuwe voer aangepas word. Die rumenbakterieë moet eers kans kry om by die nuwe voer aan te pas, want ‘n volvoer het altyd ‘n hoër proteïen- en energiewaarde as veldweiding. Diere wat met ‘n volvoer uitgegroei of voorberei word vir skoue of veilings loop die gevaar om suurpens of asidose te ontwikkel tydens die voerproses.
