Diere wat vanaf ‘n oorwegende ruvoer dieet soos veldweiding oorgaan na ‘n volvoer, moet geleidelik op die nuwe voer aangepas word. Die rumenbakterieë moet eers kans kry om by die nuwe voer aan te pas, want ‘n volvoer het altyd ‘n hoër proteïen- en energiewaarde as veldweiding. Diere wat met ‘n volvoer uitgegroei of voorberei word vir skoue of veilings loop die gevaar om suurpens of asidose te ontwikkel tydens die voerproses. What influences our decisions making process? Why do we repeat practices within our farming business, nevertheless the fact that we are through such difficult times already once!
